Ok, so the story of how I ended up with this bike is contained in the information under the ’75 Z1B.  But, as you can tell from these old pictures from 1981 you will see that it was a real performer.  I spent the weekends stripping off the turn signals, mirrors and putting struts on in place of the rear shocks and taking it to the drag strip.  It was a plenty fast bike and of course, I took off the stock exhaust and put on a Kerker chrome 4-1 system.

I kept this bike until Honda introduced the V65 Magna which all the magazines touted as being the fasted production bike.  I traded this in on it and then discovered that magazines lie.  I never really liked the V65 riding position and I could never turn the ¼ mile times with it that this bike did.

I sold the V65 to get the down payment for my first house.
